Great Bend of the Yellowstone Lewis & Clark Heritage Regional Bicentennial Commission Meeting Minutes
Rural Fire Dept. Building, 6:00 p.m.
May 27, 2002

Attending: Sandra Cahill, Brian Sparks, Bob Raney, Jeanne Marie Souvigney, Dick Baerman, Jackie Robbins, Lenny Gregrey, Charlie Rahn, Penny Carpenter.

A brief meeting in preparation for installation of Interpretive Sign is planned for tomorrow. Charlie R. reported that the stakes are still in correct placement. Wendy is expected with the sign at 10:00 am. Jackie has not heard from her about arrival or about the spare signs being laminated or delivered. These will need to be stored somewhere by the County.

Brian reported that Park Electric workers would probably be there between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. Charlie let Gary Hillman know to be there about 8:00. Workers from Crazy Mountain Ranch will also be helping. The site has been cleaned again via the Community Service officer in charge of the Work-release program (inmates & people waiting to serve in lieu of jail time). Livingston Enterprise and the Park Co. Weekly were called to cover the story, hopefully. Hugh Kinslow is going ahead on his project for Eagle Scout and will bring his ideas to this committee for approval. He may be contacting Sandra Blake too regarding plants.

Penny asked about final payment arrangements and we will wait to be invoiced. Sub-committee did not meet with County Attorney on the extra charges but feel Wendy is probably right. We have enough to pay this.

Minutes from 5/13/02 meeting were approved. Penny did send letters of invitation to the contributors if they wanted to attend tomorrow they could.

Discussed the Driving Tour sign problem but no response from Laurie in Great Falls yet. Unable to know how to proceed until directed further. Jeanne will try to contact her this next week.

Becky plans to attend the June 17-18 RBC meeting in Glasgow for sure and Gwen Childs is a maybe we think.

Other business deferred until June 10th, next regular meeting.

Penny Carpenter, Recorder
